Courtesy of Ms. Rhama Sabit Darfur
Born in Juba city, he
was citizen of Centre Equatoria State (CES) & member of Pöjulu ethnicity. His
academic journey started in Maradi Junior and couldn’t continue with his
studies further. He worked for Juba Town Council (JTC) as tax collector grade
(KJ5) position and cannot be transfer or promoter for reasons known to Juba
town council officials. He was well known to many in Juba as Sabit Darfur. He
survived with eight (8) wives and seventeen children (17) boys and girls and
only four (4) graduated (two boys and girls) from university and the rest are
unable to complete university studies due to lack of funding and community
financial support-this is the main problem most sons and daughters of the Equatoria
heroes faced or still facing. In 1992, Late Sabit was arrested in Juba at his residence
and taken to white house (chamber of tortures & deaths) designed by
government of Bashir to eliminate Equatoria intellectuals, highly educated,
qualified, and skilled ones and the current Juba regime is following Khartoum’s
regime feet-steps of eliminating its critics.
