In Solidarity with the Victims of Russian Aggression in Ukraine

I am writing in solidarity, sympathy, and care for my Ukrainian friends, colleagues, and all who I have met and not met during my many missions in Ukraine in the Post-Orange Revolution era. I have seen the Russian invasion with intent to occupy Ukraine, know the anxiety, and distress that is caused to you by the Russian attacks on children, women, and men.

It pains many of us who were born, raised, and lived in the war-torn countries, undemocratic and illegitimate governments, and currently witnessing the unlawful behaviors of Putin’s “special military operation in Ukraine” against the elected democratic and legitimate government of Ukraine under the leadership of Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyy.

Today, it’s the darkest day because autocracy wins over democracy.

Today, It’s the darkest day because of the inaction of allies in the West and Europe.

Today, it’s the darkest day because the UNSC and UNGA have failed the people of Ukraine and failed to invoke Chapter 7, &

Today, it’s the darkest day because of competing self-serving interests of the P5s and EU member States over the interestsof global citizens who are victims of the international relations system.

May God’s richest blessing be on Ukrainians & protect them from Russian aggressions. With our prayers!
