Born in
South Sudan, he was a citizen of Central Equatoria State (CES) of Bari
ethnicity. His academic journey started at Malakal Primary school (MPS), Bor
one junior (BOJ), and in 1973 he attended Malakal high school (MHS). He was a
classmate of Philip Modi (Vanarato). In 1977 he enrolled in Prison college Academy
in Khartoum and earned a diploma in Prison Sciences, Law, Criminal Justice and
Correction studies.
Before he
enrolled in (PC) he taught at Abudayia junior school in Juba. He worked under
the leadership of Gen. Dahyia Um-Durman, Director General of Prison Services in
Juba and Yambio in WES.
He was
married to Marvat Alphonse and has children. Marvats’ brother was also
assassinated by the Khartoum regime in July 1992.
